Boerse Stuttgart Digital, part of the Borsa di Stoccarda Group and a European leader in infrastructure for cryptocurrencies and digital assets, is the first crypto service provider in Germany to receive a license valid throughout the European Union under the regulation on markets in crypto-assets (MiCAR).

This license, granted to Boerse Stuttgart Digital Custody GmbH, a subsidiary specializing in the custody of crypto-assets for institutional clients, represents a crucial step in the harmonization of regulatory standards for cryptocurrencies in the EU and consolidates the company’s leadership in offering regulated solutions for banks, brokers, and asset managers.

MiCAR: harmonization and transparency for the European market

The regolamento MiCAR represents a milestone for the crypto sector, establishing clear regulatory standards for the registration and supervision of service providers related to digital assets. Its guidelines aim to:

  • Improve the protection of investors.
  • Promote transparency in the cryptocurrency market.
  • Create a unified regulatory environment, overcoming the fragmentation of national regulations.

Thanks to MiCAR, crypto service providers like Boerse Stuttgart Digital can now operate throughout the EU with a single license, simplifying access to a single European market.

With the granting of the MiCAR license, Boerse Stuttgart Digital aims to expand its international offering, strengthening collaboration with banks, brokers, and asset managers.

The harmonization of regulations will also encourage greater adoption of cryptocurrencies by financial institutions, increasing trust in the market and promoting technological innovation.

Boerse Stuttgart Digital is preparing to lead this transformation, offering advanced solutions for the trading and custody of digital assets, consolidating its role as a leader in a regulatory landscape in evolution.
