Deepgram has introduced Nova-3 Medical, a AI speech-to-text (STT) model for more reliable transcription in the healthcare sector. Nova-3 Medical uses Artificial Intelligence to reduce errors and make healthcare transcription more reliable.
AI in healthcare and Nova-3 Medical: obtaining a more reliable healthcare transcription
Deepgram, voice artificial intelligence platform for developers, has introduced its new AI model for the healthcare sector: Nova-3 Medical.
“Built to ensure performance and scalability, Nova-3 Medical converts speech into extremely accurate medical transcriptions that integrate seamlessly with EHR systems and existing workflows, eliminating the latency and costs of generic models. Watch it in action below. Nova-3 Medical powers our AI agent for the healthcare sector built with Amazon Bedrock. The #voiceagent is capable of accurately capturing clinical notes, processing medication orders, and managing real-time scheduling.”
In practice, the new Nova-3 Medical has been designed to integrate seamlessly with existing clinical workflows, such as electronic health records (EHR), telemedicine, and digital health platforms.
This is an AI speech-to-text (STT) model that could improve healthcare transcription, making it more reliable, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.
AI in healthcare: Nova-3 Medical and healthcare transcriptions
The new AI agent from Deepgram, also known as the “voice agent” (agente vocale), leverages advanced machine learning and specialized medical vocabulary training.
In this way, Nova-3 Medical is able to accurately capture medical terms, acronyms, and clinical jargon, even in challenging audio conditions.
This is particularly important in environments where healthcare providers may move away from recording devices.
In this regard, Scott Stephenson, CEO of Deepgram, said:
“Nova-3 Medical represents a significant step forward in our commitment to transforming clinical documentation through artificial intelligence. By addressing the nuances of clinical language and offering unprecedented customization, we are enabling developers to create products that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.”
Nova-3 Medical by Deepgram aims to enable developers to create transformative medical transcription applications, leading to exceptional outcomes in the healthcare sector.
The AI agent of Opera for browsing
Recently, the browser by Opera introduced its new native AI agent for browsing: “Browser Operator”.
Users can delegate to the new AI model certain processes such as purchasing products, filling out online forms, and gathering web content.
Remaining within the Opera browser and without having to provide their data to third parties, Browser Operator is able to interpret the written instructions of users and execute them.
In practice, Opera explains that the new AI agent is located in the browser’s sidebar, and once the access is clicked, the user can write their instructions and ask to perform activities on their behalf.
At the same time, while Browser Operator performs its task, the user can intervene as preferred, meaning they can either just view all the steps the AI agent takes, or pause or resume control of the situation.
