On February 17, 2025, Tether Operations Limited, a leader in the digital asset sector, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of the Republic of Guinea. 

This strategic collaboration aims to explore the adoption of blockchain technology and peer-to-peer solutions to stimulate economic growth and position Guinea as a leader in digital transformation in Africa.

Objectives of the Collaboration between Tether and Guinea

The MoU between Tether and the Guinean government focuses on several key aspects:

Tether is committed to supporting the “Innovation City” project in Guinea, an initiative aimed at consolidating the country’s position as a protagonist in the digital economy.
