In practice, the new initiative aims to provide educational content and interactive activities on blockchain technology and its main use cases.
On one hand, Tether will make its important contribution to digital education in developing regions. Meanwhile, Xion Global, a provider of Multi-Chain Web3 cryptocurrency payment infrastructure, offers its solutions.
In fact, for South Africans, there will be the possibility to use the Scan to Pay app which is part of the largest QR ecosystem in South Africa, integrated with Xion’s crypto payment solutions.
Not only that, the integration of USDT into the Polygon Labs network will allow users to connect MetaMask wallets and use Xion Global’s Web3 payment APIs for real-time transactions, making crypto payments as smooth as traditional fiat transactions.

The mission of Tether: bringing blockchain to Africa and the world
The present initiative of Tether in South Africa adds to other collaborations of the crypto company throughout the continent. Among others, in fact, Tether is a sponsor of theAfrica Tech Summit, the The African Bitcoin Conference in Ghana, and collaborates with the CBC during the Bitcoin Pizza Day and with Bitnob to educate students of universities in Ghana.
