Revolut: the bank open to crypto and its 450 million euro investment in marketing

Revolut, the digital bank also open to crypto, has announced its investment in Europe of 450 million euros, dedicated to strategic marketing and sales activities.

Its main goal is to reach 50 million customers globally by the end of 2024, thus marking a 40% year-on-year growth.

In the specific case of Italy, Revolut aims to become the first banking app and reach 2.5 million customers by the end of 2024. In this regard, the investment planned for 2024 has increased by 94% compared to 2023.

Currently, the digital bank that also involves cryptocurrencies operates in Italy with over 1.5 million customers, ranking second among the most downloaded banking apps locally.

The company has already announced that it will soon launch local IBANs, which will not only increase Revolut’s acceptance throughout the country, but will also allow for additional services for customers.

Revolut: the campaign “The Future of Banking” for those who want innovation

The huge amount dedicated to Revolut’s marketing activities has developed the campaign “The Future of Banking”, which combines TV, OOH, DOOH and social media and shows how Revolut is constantly evolving.

In this regard, Ignacio Zunzunegui, Head of Growth Southern Europe at Revolut, stated:

“With the aim of making more and more consumers aware of all the extraordinary features offered by Revolut, capable of setting a standard in the banking sector thanks to their innovation, we are also launching our largest television campaign ever called ‘The Future of Banking’ airing in Italy and many other European countries in 2024”

“The Future of Banking” has been developed based on a study conducted by Revolut and the research company Dynata, which confirms how many consumers are looking for better banking alternatives.

Specifically, the study on a representative sample of the Italian population of 1000 people, showed that 5% of the respondents changed bank for a better one last year, while 2% regretted not having done so.

Not only that, Italians believe that a banking app should be easy to use (76%), save money on transactions (41%) and save time (38%).

Revolut offers its customers the latest technologies to manage their money through a bank account, with low fees, ease of use, anytime and anywhere, and also integrates additional services.

The step forward also in the crypto sector: the collaboration with MetaMask

Even in the crypto sector, Revolut aims to be a leader in its product offering. In fact, earlier this month, the company formed a partnership with MetaMask, the popular self-custody crypto wallet.

Specifically, Revolut has introduced a seamless feature for users, who can reload their MetaMask wallets directly from their Revolut accounts. This feature is called “Revolut Ramp”.

In this way, users can access and make their crypto purchases directly in their MetaMask wallets, using their Revolut account.

Revolut Ramp is a strategic move that meets the growing demand for services related to cryptocurrencies from its user base.
